Due to the import of spare parts, Ukraine added 20 planes to its fleet
Ukraine’s Air Defense forces updated its fleet by about two dozen planes thanks to new parts - stated a Pentagon representative this Wednesday.
This is reported by CNN.
The representative stated that the USA and other countries worked “to get them the parts they need to get them in the air”, however, not specifying which country delivered the aircraft parts.
As a result, Ukraine has more planes than it had three weeks ago, he added.
According to CNN, one day earlier, Assistant to the Secretary of Defense for Public Affairs, John Kirby stated that Ukraine received additional jets. However, it was later clarified that he was talking about the delivery of new parts, not planes. These parts made planes usable.
In the meantime, John Kirby hinted that at least one country is considering the possibility to deliver planes to Ukraine.
The Air Force Command of UA Armed Forces confirmed on Facebook that they received parts for their planes.

Wartime Kharkiv in artistic paintings
Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, almost two thousand residential buildings have been destroyed in Kharkiv. Russian shelling kills people, including children, every day. Ukrainian artists and illustrators create paintings in memory of the victims of the Russian attacks and recall everyday life before the war.
Yelyzaveta Bezborodova from Kharkiv was on vacation when the war began. On February 26, she was to return to Kharkiv. The silhouettes in her works - on the stage in Gorky Park, on the train station platform, in the window of the house - are the souls of dead people, as the artist explained.
In the photos taken by Kharkiv graphic designer Oleksandra Anisimova, one can see houses destroyed by the Russian army juxtaposed with drawings of silhouettes of people going about their daily business: walking the dog in the street, taking a shower, riding the subway, having coffee in the street.
Ukrainian illustrator Olha Wilson depicts victims of Russian aggression. One of her works depicts a girl wounded in the shelling of the Industrialnyi District on April 15. The 10 casualties from that attack inlude a seven-month-old baby.
The Kharkiv Art Museum launched the project "When Guns Rattle, Muses Are Not Silent". Artist Volodymyr Nosan has already addressed the theme of war since the start of hostilities in Donetsk in 2014. The artist has been in Kharkiv since the beginning of the full-scale invasion of the Russian Federation.
"The very realities of life, eloquent details suggest one story or another. People in a bomb shelter - a shelter where the walls and prayer keep you alive, a pink doll on a deserted Rymarska street, a window taped crosswise, a gas lamp as a memory of the past war, which did not have to repeat," the museum told.
